This page says plainly what the software does, so that nobody has to work it out from the marketing.
You are talking to software
When one of our agents answers a phone, it says so before it asks anything. It does not claim to be a person and it is not instructed to imply that it is. If you would rather speak to a person, say so and the call is handed over, a message is taken, or a callback is arranged, by the rules the business has set.
Calls are recorded
Calls handled by an agent are recorded and transcribed, and the agent says that before the conversation starts. California requires the consent of everyone on the call, which is why it is the first thing said rather than a line in a policy. If you do not want to be recorded, end the call or ask for a person.
Recordings and transcripts are kept for up to 24 months from the date of the call. The detail is in the Privacy Policy.
What it is not
The agent is not a lawyer, an accountant, a doctor, a broker or a licensed adviser of any kind. Nothing it says is professional advice, and it does not make decisions that need a licence.
It can be wrong. It works from the rules and the information the business gives it, and if that is out of date, so is the answer. Anything that matters, from a price to an appointment, is worth confirming with the business.
Who is responsible
The business whose phone it answers decides what the agent may say and do. We build and operate it for them. If something the agent said was wrong, the business is the right first stop, and we are reachable at [email protected] either way.
The assistant on this site
